ABOUT BODY ICE
It is proven that cold therapy reduces pain and inflammation, but how do we keep it there without it leaking, slipping, moving or burning? The answer lies with BODY ICE, an efficient and hassle free way of fighting pain and inflammation to injured body parts.

BODY ICE was designed by former gymnast and dual Olympic Aerial Skier Lydia Lassila. The thrills of flying high on the international circuit also come with its share of spills, which means bruises, sprains, and surgeries on damaged joints. Lydia has suffered a number of injuries throughout her sporting career, with the latest being a devastating knee injury at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy.

With time off her skis in rehabilitation and frustrated with the inefficiency of current cold therapy products, Lydia decided to design and develop BODY ICE. Leaving no stone unturned, and using the highest quality of products, she coupled the traditional ice bag with elastic compression straps which are designed to fit all joints and areas. The end result, BODY ICE, a no-fuss ice and compression system that moulds around injured joints and body parts. The ice bags can also be filled with hot tap water for soothing heat therapy.

BODY ICE has played an integral part in Lydia’s recovery from injury. Lydia plans to return to aerial skiing in 2007 once rehabilitated, to continue her pursuit of Olympic Gold in the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, Canada.
